A family story since more than 50 years

The story of Meubles Marchand begins in 1968 in Matagami. At this time, the rapidly developing James Bay pushes many people to settle permanently in this locality. Quickly, Marcel and Jean-Guy Marchand, owners of a hardware store, see the increasing demand for furniture, appliances, and electronics and build a new 9000 square feet store, to fulfill the needs of the area's population.

In 1999, the Meubles Amos store of 25 000 square feet became the property of Meubles Marchand. Keeping an eye on the market, the Val-d'Or store increased its floor surface to 42 000 square feet in 2004, confirming its leadership in the region. Then, in 2013, a new 40 000 square foot store is built at Évain, in Rouyn-Noranda, confirming the company's leadership position.

Today, Meubles Marchand is represented in three markets in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. After more than 50 years, the Marchand family continues to spread her passion for the furnishing industry. She attributes her success to the constant desire to offer the best products and services, ensuring that customers receive the best experience.

The company has more than 75 employees in her various departments (customer service, sales, delivery, marketing and communication, technical support, housekeeping, accounting, management) and they give you the best of themselves each day.
